A cyber physical network (or system) is a network of systems that is built by interconnecting a number of systems that interact with physical phenomena as well as the cyber world of networking and computing. A transportation network is an example of such a cyber physical network (system).

CPN members carry out advanced applied and theoretical research on fundamental issues that concern today large/medium scale networked cyber physical systems, such as Transportation networks, vehicular networks, and networks of unmanned vehicles. While research on these subjects spans a very wide spectrum of topics, we focus on "system" related topics such as modeling, description and control of networks of systems, and their related physical phenomena. Visit the following pages for detailed statements on our vision on research in cyber physical networked systems.
